SCA Wood service the UK's building material and joinery market with high quality machined softwood and associated products from it's timber production facility based in Melton, Humberside UK. The company installed a PlantRun system to monitor timber processing in 2015. The original system continuously monitored the status of five assets, Hydromat, Powermat, two Cross Cut and Wrapping Line to provide accurate live production performance information. The system has since been regularly expanded to monitor more assets on site.
All data is recorded to allow detailed analysis over any period. This has eliminated time wasting manual data collection and identified areas to target for efficiency improvement.
Display Node hardware was supplied with the origianal system to show real time information on large screen TV's in the production areas. Further Display Node hardware has since been supplied.
Located on a 20 acre site with 400,000 sq. ft. production and distribution facilities employ a team of over 90.
